You see that is the curse of being an anxious person. Sometimes, You are up and down for no particular reason .There are 10 people on this shoulder, and another 10 on another one, telling you, everything is going to go wrong and all you are left with this dreadful theme song…

You’re broke, you’re shook You’re a horrible crook,

“Anxiety” what is it?

Its a mental health disorder sending constant signals of fear down your spine and taking you to the world where everything feels wrong. it is “an emotion characterized by feelings of tension, worried thoughts and physical changes like increased blood pressure, Fast heart rate, rapid breathing, sweating and feeling tired may occur.”

for some people, these feelings of anxiety are more than just passing worries or a stressful day at work. Your anxiety may not go away for many weeks, months, or years. It can worst over time, sometimes becoming so severe that it interferes with your daily life. When this happens, it’s said that you have an anxiety disorder.

What are the Symptoms and How does anxiety happens?

When you feel anxious, your body goes on high alert, looking for possible danger and activating your fight or flight responses. As a result, some common symptoms of anxiety include: nervousness, restlessness, or being tensed. feelings of danger or panic.

While these symptoms may be normal to experience in daily life, people will experience them to small or extreme levels.

Types of anxiety disorders..

  • Getting panic attacks: experiencing recurring panic attacks at unexpected times. A person with panic disorder may live in fear of the next panic attack.
  • Phobia: fear of a specific object, situation, or activity.
  • Social anxiety disorder: extreme fear of being judged by others in social situations.
  • Separation anxiety : fear of being away from your loved one or place. it mostly occurs in child and now it can be seen in adults too fear of loosing someone who they love the most.

Treatment of anxiety

Medications

A person can support anxiety management with several types of medication.

Medicines that might control some of the physical and mental symptoms include some medicine called benzodiazepines, tricyclics, etc.

  • Relaxation techniques: These techniques include meditation, deep breathing exercises, long baths, resting in the dark, and yoga.
  • Exercises to replace negative thoughts with positive ones: Make a list of the negative thoughts and write down another list next to it containing positive, believable thoughts to replace them. and do work on it.
  • Support : Talk with familiar people who are supportive, such as a family member or friend.
  • Exercise: Physical exertion can improve self-image and release chemicals in the brain that trigger positive feelings.

With time, patience and therapy talking to a friend who is ready to listen to your rants & buts. With no judgements and zero doubts, With deep breaths and in some cases medicines. With kind words and kinder intentions one can overcome anxiety.😊
